This new dance production of the story by the famous children’s author Carlo Collodi is lively, colorful and sensitive. To the surprise of the woodcarver Gepetto, a wooden puppet is transformed into a little boy made of flesh and blood. The popular KIKA presenter Juri Tetzlaff guides the audience through the story, which tells of Pinocchio, who does not keep his promise to be good and thus gets into a series of dangers and adventures: he gets distracted by a puppet theater, skips school, falls for the fox and cat, meets the pigeon and the cricket.
One day he meets a fairy godmother, to whom he vows to do better, but he doesn’t quite succeed. In the end, Pinocchio turns into a donkey and is finally thrown into the sea, where he is swallowed by a whale and the story takes a happy turn after all, much to everyone’s relief…
