The juggling company “Critical-Mess” was founded in 2017 with the drive to take juggling out of the classical circus corner and place it in a broader artistic context. Juggling in its contemporary form has the potential to metaphorically present current and timeless topics.
The name “DODAI” is a combination of the Italian “do” (I give) and “dai” (you give). “DODAI” is a juggling dance theatre experiment with over seven individuals facing everyday problems, referring to the question: “what is mine? what is yours? and what do we need to share in order to live a better life?”

The individual is a social being that society needs in order to grow. On the one hand, society helps in many ways, on the other hand, the individual helps society through his wisdom, experience and creative proposals. In a well-balanced society there is a constant harmony between it and the individual. But when is society well-balanced?

The ensemble of 7 performers, a lighting designer and a musician comes from 8 European countries (Switzerland, France, Italy, Scotland, Slovakia, Hungary, Greece and Germany) and is therefore also a strong sign of a common Europe.
