Our journey begins with flight. Where are we on our journey? We feel the urgency to pause, change direction, and plant new seeds for a more conscious future: respecting places, recognizing their beauty, and appreciating their uniqueness. Our research focuses on a living presence around us, simple and complex at once, belonging to the animal kingdom: the pink flamingo. We start from the idea that many things we believe we need are actually superfluous and distract us from what truly matters. Nature becomes a source of wealth, inspiration, and growth.
SHOCKING, through the double meaning of its title—the color of flamingos and the shock experienced by humanity during the pandemic—explores a paradoxical condition in which animals may have enjoyed the greatest freedom. The project combines two artistic languages, music and dance, merging dream and reali-ty, the desire to fly and the act of traveling. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s Codex on Flight, this journey seeks ways for human beings to become lighter and rise above life’s burdens. The flamingo becomes a metaphor for creating a personal flight manual, a guide for anyone wishing to embark on a journey through beauty, nature, and humanity.
