The Junior Company of Tanztheater Erfurt brings together young dancers aged 10 to 20. In this special production, the original story of the famous fairy tale is preserved, yet brought to life again through the energy and creativity of the younger generation.

Various dance styles come together on stage and blend seamlessly: contemporary dance, breakdancing, and classical ballet. These diverse forms of expression converge in a shared artistic space, creating a vibrant, multifaceted interpretation of the well-known fairy tale.

Three dance instructors guide and inspire the young dancers of the Junior Company on their shared artistic journey, under the direction of Ester Ambrosino: “Working with children—their honesty, their imagination, and their openness—gives me strength and continually reaffirms my belief in the profound power of art.”

The music is by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and is presented in its original form.
